Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg is goals4kids patron

Kulmbach/Berlin – Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg is to be the patron of the goals4kids initiative. The campaign was developed by the Bayreuth-based advertising agency Brainspotting Communications and the Kulmbach energy company AGO AG Entergie + Anlagen, and its goal is to support children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds all over the world. Education and training take centre stage, as they are regarded as the key to mastering challenges and ensuring future success.

The initiative, which is currently in the process of being registered as a non-profit organisation, has named its current projects “goals4southafrica” and “goals4germany”. During the men’s World Cup in 2010 and the women’s World Cup in 2011, goals4kids will take on sponsorships for the education and training of one child in the respective country for each goal the German national team scores. The idea is that the competition between the men’s and women’s teams serves as an incentive to score as many goals as possible.
